Textured Hoops - Quench Jewelry Arts, Minneapolis

A one day class that is a great introduction to both the rolling mill and hydraulic press.

We will begin by working with the rolling mill to emboss a texture onto the surface of sterling silver or brass. Then we will use the hydraulic press to swiftly bend your metal into a complex curved form. We will continue to bend and refine the hoop form and finish off each earring by soldering on a sterling post. You will then choose between oxidizing your hoops or polishing them.
